Artist Bio: Dave Alber

Dave Alber was born in Pennsylvania in 1969. He grew up in Florida, then working as a graphic designer and illustrator, moved to Georgia in 1990. Studying under the children’s book Illustrator Debrah Santini at the State University of West Georgia, he earned his Bachelors of Fine Art concentrating in Printmaking. Invited to Italy to work with the United Services Organization, he art-directed and coordinated an international festival.

Dave earned his Masters in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Encouraged by the faculty there, he contributed to Mythology: A CD-ROM Encyclopedia, Vol. 1, Greek & Roman. Founding Mythic Eye Press, he recently published his poetry book and audio CD, To the Dawn. He has finished two novels and is working on a non-fiction book about cultural mythology.

He currently resides in Palo Alto, CA. His favorite sweets are baklava and rasmalai.
